No way to sugarcoat this
I don’t want to sugarcoat this. It is my intention with this article to put the fear of God into everyone reading it. Not because it’s fake fear but because it’s real. A few misogynistic, arrogant, sneering men and one handmaid have reportedly made the decision to seize the rights of free and independent women everywhere by overturning Roe V. Wade.This was in a leaked draft opinion that we can still fight. The actual opinion has not been issued yet. And if you think this is as bad as it can get — you’d be very wrong.
Don’t believe me? How about a national ban on abortion? That could happen if the GOP gets power again. NOTHING is off the table — nothing at all. I am not exaggerating. This can’t be a story that leaves the news cycle after a week. This has to be front and center UNTIL the midterms — and beyond.
Everybody who cares about simple human decency must vote — every last one. Protests. We have to do it all and must do it NOW — Not a few months from now or a year from now. It’s too important. If we don’t — the country will go down a truly heartbreaking path — and it won’t turn back for a very long time — if ever.
Each and every one of us has a role to play. And no both siding it. I am talking about screaming into the madness — protesting as we’ve never protested before.
Protesting like the stars are on fire, like the sky is crying like the country is wailing — because that is true. And I am talking not just about a movement but something beyond. It must be a force — think of a spinning tornado with an unending and angry roar. We must do this — not for a day or a week or a month — but until we can get this STOPPED.
We must frame the midterms with this issue. We must keep it in the news cycle. And we can. This would not have been leaked if we couldn’t. Believe me, we can. Now is not the time to give up. It’s time for fury. It is the discontent of voters — of women — of people everywhere.
These are people will not let their souls and bodies be used as bargaining chips in a corrupt agenda by a shadowy and dark court, who would seek to control us, to push THEIR agenda, their maladaptive and crazed behavior on all of us. This is about the anatomy of psychological warfare. We have to fight back, and we have to do it now.
