Madison Cawthorn is falling to pieces
Somebody needs to do something about Madison Cawthorn. It seems every week — sometimes more than once — I am reporting on yet another mess the child has gotten himself into. And it’s not right. Because some of these messes impact others. They could even be dangerous to others.
So Cawthorn, in his latest adventure, was cited for carrying a gun at Charlotte Douglass International airport. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Cawthorn and guns go together It was a 9 mm handgun ensconced happily in Cawthorn’s carry-on bag, and TSA agents were not happy. That is why they alerted the police.
This also happened to Cawthorn in 2021 in Ashville, North Carolina. The gun was taken from Cawthorn, and he was issued a citation for possession of a dangerous weapon. CMPD said on Twitter that Cawthorn violated a city ordinance.
They also say it is rare when someone is actually arrested for this type of thing. The gun was found on Cawthorn at around 9:00 AM. If this were one incident, I likely wouldn’t even consider it serious news. But it isn’t.
Over and over again, Cawthorn has screwed up. Guns were found on him. Knives were found on him. He’s had driving issues like driving with an expired license. The child is a virtual SOS, and his fellow Republicans should do something.
Yet they do not seem to care. The most emotion about Cawthorn they have ever shown was when Cawthorn spoke about the reported cocaine and sex party. Cawthorn is in the news with increased regularity for things that, when taken together, show a person with severe issues who repeatedly and shamelessly engages in behavior both dangerous to himself and to others.
