Ukraine reportedly destroys and sinks major Russian landing vessel

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Overnight, multiple major U.S. news outlets reported that Ukrainian forces in Kyiv had successfully managed to drive Russian military forces into retreat, pushing them as far back as thirty miles from the city. It turns out Ukraine is on the offensive in multiple regions.

The Kyiv Independent is reporting that Ukrainians have managed to destroy and sink a Russian landing vessel in Berdyansk known as the Orsk:

.
The reporter for The Kyiv Independent characterized the Russian vessel as being on its way “to meet Sponge Bob” at the bottom of the ocean. According to The Economist, the government of Ukraine is in fact taking credit for destroying the ship. European news outlet NEXTA is reporting that two other Russian ships are “smoking heavily” and attempting to escape. Russia has been using the port of Berdyansk as a staging area. If Russia were to be driven out of the port, it would deal a serious blow to its ability to hold onto the ground it’s gained in the coastal region.
