Backlash is growing against Madison Cawthorn

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There is a growing backlash against North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn. Apparently, this backlash is not slowing down. On the contrary, it appears to be speeding up. And Republicans everywhere are whispering that they’re embarrassed — you heard me — EMBARRASSED — by the bumbling Congressman.

“It was the talk of baseball practice today.” This was the whisper from a GOP member in Texas.

“I wish he hadn’t said it.”

“Why did he have to say it?”

“Why, why?’

“It’s not the time to toss accusations around like that….”

The hushed whispers are becoming a steady murmur that is being heard in select GOP circles. “Madison Cawthorn has said he is here for PR and not legislating,” whispered Rep. Tom Rice of South Carolina. Whispers are being heard everywhere. “Madison, was wrong.”

So what is this all about? It is about Cawthorn’s labeling President Zelenskyy, a “thug.” Based on the whispers that won’t die down, Cawthorn has embarrassed the GOP. Do you KNOW how AWFUL one must be to embarrass the GOP? But apparently, Cawthorn’s done it. And the whisper-screaming has an echo.

This whisper-screaming has been heard at GOP baseball practice. Apparently, it was all the GOP could talk about there this past Friday morning. There can be no doubt Cawthorn is just having a terrible, terrible week. Actually, the whole year hasn’t started to well for him. Perhaps if he’d stop acting like a traitor, things might get better.
