Matt Gaetz just lost big time
This is the story about a little boy in a grown man’s body. Said boy is immature, bratty, and a United States Congressman from Florida. To know him is to (not) love him! Strolling around with a perpetual smirk on his face and hair that would rival the Empire State Building in height, the boy has been having an awful couple of weeks. This boy’s name is Matt Gaetz.
Gaetz has not been doing well lately, as the investigation into his alleged dirty deeds seems to be speeding up rather than slowing down. And you know what else is not doing well? The boy’s finances.
Per the Daily Beast, it appears Gaetz has lost (along with his dignity) a heck of a lot of money. According to a report from the Federal Election Commission, Gaetz is in the toilet financially. The man has lost $94,838.65. That’s a lot of bread.
So what is the source for Gaetz’s empty wallet? Where has the cash gone? According to the Daily Beast, it appears to have gone to dealing with the FBI investigation into his alleged dirty deeds. The expression “crime doesn’t pay” really resonates here.
The Beast says that more than $100,000 from the Gaetz campaign went to lawyers. Well, Gaetz DID hire Marc Fernish — who once represented Jeffrey Epstein. But this is a terrible look for the hair-challenged Gaetz.
And per Daily Mail, Gaetz has seen campaign contributions begin to wither on the vine. In 2021, they shrunk by more than half in the last few months. So all told, Gaetz didn’t exactly have a banner year like so many excited Republicans initially thought he would.
But one thing Gaetz still has the ability to do is walk and chew gum at the same time! Never let it be said that our boy can’t multitask.
And his other task when he isn’t paying lawyers to try to save him from whatever he allegedly did, is to tweet. Said tweets show no sign of slowing down, with Mattie tweeting about the “corruption” of the January 6 investigation.
It is apparent to me that Gaetz has a massive grudge against Justice. Everything he appears to do seems to be about protecting himself rather than helping his constituents. The falling-out between Gaetz and Justice shows no sign of ending, and something tells me Justice just may win this battle.
