Good news for Joe Biden

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Another day, another wave of approval for President Biden — that, of course, most media outlets are not talking about. And these encouraging cheers for our President are coming from an interesting source — American farmers.

According to NBC News, farmers are, in their words, “flourishing” under Biden and are happy to talk about why. Montana Farmers Union President Walter Schweitzer said that since Biden took office, farmers have begun to rebuild and strengthen their relationships with customers and that things now look significantly better than they did in 2019.

Net farm income is up, and products such as soy and corn are doing well. Patrick Westhoff, who is the director of Food and Agricultural Policy Research for the University of Missouri, explained that in 2019, farmers were struggling under the Trump administration’s trade policies. But these days, the majority of income comes from production and sales.

And Biden is doing more to help farmers every day. One thing that he is doing is providing $1 billion in funds to improve access to cold storage, which would allow further expansion of meat production.

Farmers are what make up the American heartland. Farmers are at the heart and soul of this country, and they were struck hard by the Trump administration and their awful policies. But now, the American fields are seeing new rays of hope as new leadership is in control and is guiding agriculture into the sunlight.
