Hope is as vivid as the bluest, most exquisite wave. Like the sea itself, it is eternal and is always there if you seek it out.

And for the Democrats, we relied on hope to win the Georgia special elections — and hope came through for us.

It came through for us with a bit of help from the queen of hope herself — Stacey Abrams.

Abrams has been a warrior for change and a constant reminder that sometimes the impossible can become possible.

There was a time when few would have thought that the state of Georgia could turn bright blue. But turn it did, delivering to us two new Senators, putting us firmly in the Senate majority.

Stacey Abrams was a major player in all this.

She worked tirelessly and with gentle ferocity, signing up new voters, talking to so many people who for years had been ignored.

Abrams will go far in her career. And now she is running for Governor of Georgia. This race promises to be very exciting.

And it just got a bit more exciting.

Abrams has landed a huge endorsement.

A group of prominent unions has endorsed her candidacy.

The Georgia chapter of AFL-CIO is one along with about 12 other unions.

In their endorsement, AFL-CIO praised Abrams as being truly for the people of Georgia.

“There is no better champion for Georgia’s working families than Stacey Abrams, which is why we are extraordinarily proud to endorse her run for Governor.”

Congratulations, Stacey, on your endorsements!

Georgia will be one of our most important races. It isn’t just Abrams. We must reelect Senator Warnock, who has already proven to be a tremendous force for good.

Hope has given us so much. Let’s hold on tight now as we go forward to win it all.
