This doesn’t look good for Kayleigh McEnany
This week we all learned that the National Archives received forged election documents which falsely claimed that Donald Trump won several key swing states in the 2020 election. Whoever forged and submitted these documents committed a serious felony and will ostensibly end up in prison. The big question is whether this was merely done by a lone wolf, or whether this forgery scheme was carried out in concert with the Trump administration.
Legal expert Laurence Tribe has unearthed an old video clip from December 17th, 2020, in which then-Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany went on Fox News and talked about four states in which an “alternate slate of electors voted upon that congress will decide in January.”
Tribe tweeted this in response to the video clip: “If the White House Press Secretary knew about the forged certificates of the fake Trump electors, is it conceivable that Trump didn’t know? Hint: That’s a rhetorical question.”
Of course this alone doesn’t prove that Trump and McEnany knew about the forged election certificates and were in on it. But this video clip is seemingly enough to at least give the January 6th Committee and the DOJ a reason to ask McEnany under oath what she knows about the election certificate plot. If she thinks she escaped the Trump regime cleanly, she may want to think again.
