Donald Trump screws up and confesses

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

A warning to all: Beware of the double negative. Bad, very bad things can happen when the double negative is used the wrong way. And if the one using the double negative is famous and word gets out about the mistake, people may very well break into peals of laughter.

Alas, there is one person for whom this warning comes too late! The words have been crafted. The mistake has been made. And the laughter? That, too, echoed in many places across America and beyond.

And the one who spoke the words that caused all the laughter? That would be Donald Trump.

Per The Daily Beast, the double negative broke free Saturday evening. It came in the form of a statement by the chief insurrectionist himself. And the statement was about the 2020 Presidential election.

Here is the statement, double negative and all: “Anybody that doesn’t think there wasn’t massive Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election is either very stupid or very corrupt!”

Behold the double negative! Faster than one could say, “grammatical error,” the laughter had begun:

“Trump just conceded” tweeted (hundreds) or perhaps thousands of cheerful tweeters.

“Trump admits he’s dumb and corrupt,” said many.

“30 minutes, and it’s still up,” said others.

So, the question must be asked. Was this REALLY an error?

Perhaps deep within his subconscious, the insurrectionist was acknowledging his own iniquitous behavior. But it really does not matter WHY. What does matter is that once again, the Trump monster has managed to humiliate himself — and he did it with a little help from the double negative.
