Coming soon to a television near you

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Public hearings are coming soon to a television screen near you. It was always going to happen. The January sixth committee has been hard at work, cutting its way through the bullshit of the Trump cronies and various sycophants.

The committee has already interviewed hundreds of people. And as 2022 comes sailing toward us, a boatload of people should be very worried about now. The committee has said they anticipate “weeks” of hearings. And said hearings shall all be televised.

Here is what Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney had to say about it all: “We anticipate that next year we will be conducting multiple weeks of public hearings, setting out for the American people in vivid color exactly what happened every minute of the day on Jan. 6 at the Capitol and at the White House, and what led to that violent attack.”

In vivid color? This will be fascinating, but it should also scare the heck out of the insurrectionists themselves. The world will now have a chance to watch and observe and decide for themselves who the traitors are.

The investigation is entering into a new arena — the public arena. Who will testify? Will Trump be subpoenaed? That seems almost guaranteed. This is deeply encouraging news, and it is good to see the committee making significant progress and showing the world that some people at least still take the rule of law seriously.
