Kevin McCarthy’s world is imploding

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Kevin McCarthy’s world is imploding, and it appears everybody knows it but him. McCarthy (Coward, insurrection non-party, California) has stayed stubbornly silent on terrorist Paul Gosar’s disgusting threats toward AOC and President Biden. Nor has he opened his mouth to lambaste Marjorie Taylor Greene for doxing members of the GOP who voted for the infrastructure plan.

This has had the result of McCarthy’s completely losing any respect he may have had, which I suspect was not much, to begin with.

But now, his fellow GOP members are turning on him as well for a variety of reasons. First off, there have been whispers growing into an unrelenting buzz that McCarthy is too weak a leader ever to be House Majority Speaker if the GOP takes back the house, which we will not let happen.

Folks on both sides are disappointed in McCarthy, and there is no way he does not know this. The big orange cheese has also come out and said in an interview that McCarthy did not fight hard enough for him.

And as Trump goes, so does the Cowardly old party, so Trump’s statement will most likely have the effect of turning off even more GOP members to Cowardly Kev.

One cannot help but wonder what goes through this man’s head. Is he aware that he has failed in his position? Is he aware of anything besides the yearning of his corrupt soul for a job that he most likely will never get?

We all talk about how we want consequences. We are seeing some of those consequences play out right now. We see it in the indictment of Steve Bannon by the Justice Department.

In McCarthy’s case, we are seeing it as well. The speakership is the only thing Kevin appears to really care about. And now, he seems likely to lose any chance at making that dream a reality.
