Madison Cawthorn is unraveling

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Madison Cawthorn is sick. I say this without my usual snark. There is something deeply wrong with him, and his behavior is getting worse and worse each day. In the past month or so, Mr. Cawthorn has been bringing weapons into school board meetings. It keeps happening with regularity. And nobody knows why.

Law Enforcement has warned him. But still, he persists. Guns. Knives. Combat daggers. All have been his weapons of choice. It actually started awhile back at an airport where Cawthorn was caught trying to smuggle a gun onboard an airplane. The gun was confiscated. But now, my friends, his behavior has worsened.

Cawthorn’s representative has called all this “a smear campaign.” It is not. This behavior is deeply worrying, and I feel we should do something about it — with feedback.

First off, you can let others you know in and around North Carolina know what is happening. This story is getting little exposure in the mainstream press, and it NEEDS to get more. Please retweet this story, make people aware and offer feedback — being polite, of course, to your favorite television pundit asking them to cover this story.

I feel it is vitally essential that Cawthorn be voted out in 2022. Jasmine-Beach Ferrara is his Democratic challenger. Follow her on Twitter if you can.

It is imperative Cawthorn be disciplined for his behavior. I’ve no idea of his intent, but I do know that normal people do not bring violent weapons — over and over again — to school board meetings. So, let’s unite and get Cawthorn disciplined and hopefully out of office in 2022.
