Ron DeSantis cashes in
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has spent the pandemic doing everything he can to make the people in his state as unsafe as possible, from his corrupt vaccine rollout tied to just one grocery chain, to his bizarre attempts at stopping school districts from requiring masks.
The results have predictably been disastrous. Now DeSantis is cashing in even as his state is dying:
Florida reported 77,705 cases over the last 72 hours and has the highest case count reported nationwide. Ron Desantis spending today with wealthy donors at a $25,000 a ticket fundraiser.

The only good news is that as Ron DeSantis’ handling of the pandemic and other matters continues to become more disastrous, his numbers are predictably dropping. A recent poll had DeSantis one point behind one of his 2022 Democratic challengers. At this rate DeSantis could well end up losing reelection in Florida in 2022, thus ending his presidential ambitions in 2024.
