The DeSantis variant
As the COVID Delta variant plays out in the United States, it’s becoming clear that this is no longer a nationwide pandemic, or even a regional pandemic. It’s a pandemic of the unvaccinated, the unmasked, and the states with stunningly awful leadership. First and foremost, it’s become a Florida pandemic – and that’s entirely on Governor Ron DeSantis.
CNN’s Jim Acosta suggested this weekend that at this point it should be called “The DeSantis variant.” He’s right, of course – and the internet agrees:
