Donald Trump Jr. is falling to pieces
There appears to be a certain person who is seemingly falling apart. This person is Donald Trump Jr. He is unwell. Before I go on, let me share a story with you.
Many of you know I occasionally use mythological analogies in my writing. I do this because I love mythology and specific stories seem to fit. I also want to thank those of you who have spoken about your enjoyment of these stories. I appreciate it!
Narcissism began with Echo and Narcissus. Echo was a beautiful wood nymph who tragically was punished by one of the Gods. Her punishment was being unable to speak except to repeat the last few words of what someone else had said.
When Narcissus came along, Echo fell in love with the handsome guy lost in the woods. She could not verbalize this love, but Narcissus realized it anyway and laughed at the poor wood nymph.
The Gods duly punished Narcissus for his abhorrent action. As he gazed into a pool of water, he saw a face. He fell in love with that face and refused to budge from the edge of the stream. Eventually, he would die, consumed with himself and his own reflection. And this story explains the former guy and his family in a nutshell.
Junior is taking all this indictment stuff badly. He’s made one video after another in which he rants, screams attacks Hunter Biden, and in general, allows his narcissism to envelop him as he lashes out with fury and venom.
And because Junior is a narcissist, he does not and will never be able to see his role in all this, never mind his dad’s role. Junior comes from a world of privilege where he’s never had to struggle or explain himself. His privilege has kept him from all that. His self-awareness is zero, and he is so far gone emotionally he may have come to believe his bullshit.
Narcissism is a pervasive personality disorder with no cure. I imagine Junior will continue to spin out of control because, like Narcissus himself, the only image Junior is capable of seeing his own.
