Kevin McCarthy has a whole new problem in his ranks
Not content to be the party of screwing over the blue and hating our great military, the GOP has added a new interest to their platform–hanging around with insurrectionists. Anthony Agero, who was there the day members of our own country attacked our great Capitol, was at the border this week, chatting with and making nice with many of our “friends” in the GOP.
Among the list of new friends, this sedition supporter has made include North Carolina’s Madison Cawthorn, Colorado’s Lauren Boebert, and Ronny Jackson of Texas. No word from Kevin McCarthy on whether these Congresspeople will be disciplined for their actions and whether their behavior rises to the level of daring to investigate the insurrection, which McCarthy seems the most focused on.
So now we can add partying with criminals to the GOP’s long list of proud accomplishments. I am struck by one thing. It would seem the insurrection party has given up even the slightest pretense of even trying to pretend to do the right thing. Can’t you feel it?
The sudden shift has been noticeable, and they are getting lazy. Many of these GOP insurrection deniers have all but stopped pretending to do anything for the American People and spend most of their time on Twitter, where they post hateful memes, call some Democrats “libtards, ” and generally do not do any WORK. They used to at least pretend to work. Now it appears they have thrown away even the pretense.
Is it because of MAGA? I do not know. This is sort of a “chicken and the egg” story. Who came first? It would appear to be MAGA, but there have to have been people in Congress who were ready, willing, and able to take on the cult of MAGA. And they cannot now use the former guy as an excuse since he is long gone and will never hold office again.
