THIS is what Donald Trump came up with to distract us from today’s indictments?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With Allen Weisselberg already in custody this morning, and the full text of the criminal indictment against the Trump Organization surfacing this afternoon, we all knew that Donald Trump would do something to try to impact the news cycle and distract us from the news of his own dismantling.

The trouble for Trump is that he doesn’t have much to work with anymore. He can’t threaten to nuke North Korea, or vow to put Adam Schiff in jail. Trump can’t even post mean tweets anymore to try to distract everyone.

So instead, Trump loyalist Jason Miller has launched a new social media platform named GETTR. No really, it’s named GETTR. The jokes are already flying. Are Trump and his people so broke they can’t afford to buy a vowel? Why does “GETTR” sound so much like GUTTER? And so on.

And so Donald Trump, who just six months ago was the most powerful man in the world, Commander-in-Chief of the United States military, in control of a nuclear arsenal, is now reduced to… whatever this is. GETTR will get no traction and quickly fail, of course. It’ll serve as yet another reminder of his increasing impotence. And it won’t distract anyone from the dismantling of his life that begins with today’s indictments.
