Get your popcorn ready
Allen Weisselberg has spent forty years helping Donald Trump commit crimes and harm people. If Weisselberg wants to stand his ground for a few weeks or months while prosecutors steadily rip his life to pieces before he inevitably caves, then fine, I’m getting some popcorn.
There’s no guarantee Weisselberg will cave. But as the days go on and the squeeze gets worse, the odds of him caving will go up significantly. This is in sharp contrast to the mainstream media’s fantasy world, where if something doesn’t happen immediately, it’ll never happen.
Also keep in mind prosecutors already have the grand jury testimony of McConney, the Trump Organization’s #2 financial guy behind Weisselberg. There was also surely a point in time when McConney was insisting he’d never flip either.
Finally, keep in mind that Trump has a habit of often disavowing or abandoning his most loyal people once they’re arrested. It’s usually what triggers them to flip on him. So if Trump abandons Weisselberg after this week, look for it to have a major impact on the equation.
