Matt Gaetz makes things even worse for himself with bizarre “Deep State” meltdown
Matt Gaetz is now under federal criminal investigation for too many things to list, ranging from underage sex trafficking to state senate election rigging. Now his close associate Joel Greenberg is cutting a plea deal against him. Right now his Gaetz’s bet would be to shut up, hire a good lawyer, and maybe think about cutting a plea deal of his own.
Instead Gaetz is tweeting this today: “I may be a canceled man in some corners. I may even be a wanted man by the Deep State. But I hear the millions of Americans who feel forgotten, canceled, ignored, marginalized and targeted. I draw confidence knowing that the silent majority is growing louder every day.”
Well alright then. Matt Gaetz is blaming his scandals on the Deep State. Donald Trump also blamed his scandals on the Deep State. That worked so well for him, he lost by seven million votes and is in the process of being criminally indicted in multiple states. By all means, Matt Gaetz, please proceed.
