Beto O’Rourke slam dunks Ted Cruz
Ted Cruz and a number of other Republican Senators are currently engaged in a bizarre stunt on the border between the United States and Mexico, aimed at hyping the imaginary “Biden border crisis” narrative. In reality President Biden is in the process of cleaning up the years-long border crisis that Trump created, but don’t tell that to Cruz.
Ted Cruz tweeted a surreal video of himself surrounded by tree branches, declaring “I’m down at the Texas border along with 18 senators. We made the trip to see the crisis that is playing out.” Suffice it to say that Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke was less than impressed.
Beto ripped Ted Cruz to pieces, tweeting: “You’re in a Border Patrol boat armed with machine guns. The only threat you face is unarmed children and families who are seeking asylum (as well as the occasional heckler). If you’re looking for a crisis to cosplay Senator for, I’m happy to point you in the right direction.” Beto kept going on the offensive from there. You can read his entire thread here.
