The threat from within
The Republicans (and most of the media) are busy obsessing over the supposed threat at the border. But the real threat to U.S. national security continues to be angry right wing guys with guns, as yesterday’s Asian spa shooting tragically reminded us, and as the U.S. Capitol attack reminded us before that.
Yet whenever you turn on cable news – even MSNBC, as I did just now – the odds are that they’re still obsessing over the supposed threat at the border between the United States and Mexico. The media knows it can hype the border threat to hype its ratings marks any time it needs to. Meanwhile, we continue to be reminded that the real threat is from within.
– Wait, so Trump supporters want him to get credit for the vaccine, but they also think the vaccine is crap and they don’t want to take it. How dumb can they be? No wonder they voted for Trump.
