Ron Johnson can’t handle the heat
United States Senator Ron Johnson has never explained why he traveled to Russia on July 4, 2018, to visit with the Russian regime of thugs. He has done nothing to help those in Wisconsin since that trip and is basically a negative on Capitol Hill. When it came to the stimulus package proposed by the Biden administration and House Democrats, Johnson slowed things down by insisting that all 628 pages of the bill be read into the Senate record.
Johnson after pulling the stunt is now crying about the process, tweeting on Friday afternoon: “@SenSchumer attacked me because I wanted the Senate to take the time to hear what was in his $1.9 trillion boondoggle. Now we’re stalled 4 hours and counting because he can’t get his act together?”
As a reminder, the stimulus package that Johnson is putzing over is supported by 77% of Americans. Johnson is not a friend of the nation and his behavior is astounding. As a second reminder, in 2017, the GOP passed a tax bill that handed their cronies almost as much as this current stimulus package, with long lasting consequences. So don’t believe these fools when they cry the system is now an open checkbook.
