Here’s the crazy thing about last night
Here’s something fascinating. It was Friday night last night and… well, nothing happened. Don’t get me wrong, plenty of political news did indeed happen. Fox News showed Lou Dobbs the door. Mike Lindell basically showed himself the door. But President Joe Biden did what a President is supposed to do on a Friday night, which is to leave Americans alone and let them watch reruns of Seinfeld if they want to.
Biden’s most prominent tweet last night started with the line “We can reduce suffering in this country.” The biggest news Biden made yesterday was when he moved to cut off Trump’s intel briefings, citing national security. Aside from that, Biden saw no need to inject himself into the news cycle. He didn’t have a Twitter meltdown about how unfair it was that Fox News tried to scandalize his trip to Delaware. Biden didn’t retweet anyone named “cat turd” or get into a feud with an actress, or anything like that. Biden simply did his job, which didn’t involve trying to dominate Americans’ Friday night without a good reason.
