Lauren Boebert runs and hides
At this point new House Republicans Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are in some kind of contest to see which of them can humiliate themselves the most. Their scandals just keep getting uglier, even as House Republican leadership refuses to take action against either of them.
With the political heat mounting, Boebert has now decided to cancel her first-ever Town Hall at the last minute. She’s blaming a lack of security, which is ironic considering the role she played in inciting the U.S. Capitol attack. Our guess is she simply doesn’t want to face tough questions that might come from audience members who don’t support her extremist lunacy – and so she’s running and hiding.
In any case, it’s becoming more clear that the likes of Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene aren’t somehow “winning” just because they haven’t been expelled. They’re pariahs who are in over their heads, and the longer the Republican House goes without expelling them, the greater the odds the Democrats will win the midterms next year.
