Marjorie Taylor Greene caught apparently supporting the execution of U.S. leaders, now denies it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When you’re a complete mess to begin with, it’s generally not a good idea to get yourself elected to Congress and have the spotlight turned on every awful thing you’ve said and done. Certain new Republicans are now learning that the hard way.

Days ago, someone dug up Marjorie Taylor Greene’s older social media posts and discovered that she once claimed major school shootings in the United States were just a hoax. Now it’s gotten even worse for her. Much worse.

CNN has dug in and discovered that as recently as 2019, Marjorie Taylor Greene was “liking” Facebook posts that called for explicit crimes such as shooting Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the head, and hanging President Barack Obama.

To give you an idea how worried Marjorie Taylor Greene is about this, she’s now claiming that “Over the years, I’ve had teams of people manage my pages” and that one of them must have liked the offensive posts in question. This is surreal, considering she wasn’t seeking office back then. How many average private citizens have “teams of people” running their Facebook page?

At this point it sounds like Greene is past the point of trying to actually convince the public that she didn’t “like” these violent Facebook posts, and instead she’s merely trying to create some kind of reasonable doubt strategy. We don’t know if she’ll be criminally charged for her role in inciting the U.S. Capitol attack. But if she is, these kinds of past social media behaviors could help legally establish that she really was attempting to incite violence against U.S. leaders on January 6th.
