Melania Trump just found a way to be even more awful
When it comes to doing their jobs at the White House, it’s really all about percentages. For example, Donald Trump will proclaim himself the hero of the pandemic until the day he dies from his deplorable diet or dies in prison, whichever comes first, but spend the vast percentage of his time hate-tweeting, playing golf and doing little about the pandemic. His claim til he draws his terminal breath is that he instituted a partial ban on travel to and from China, that he thought of it all by himself and absolutely everyone was against it, and he thereby single-handedly saved “millions of lives.”
This is the preposterous rationale of a lazy, stupid, lying man. Trump didn’t think of the ban, Dr. Anthony Fauci and an assortment of doctors thought it up during an Oval Office brainstorm meeting. Trump was against it at first. Then Trump thought it over and changed his mind. Then he took credit for it. Then he said that Fauci and the others were against it. Then he said he went against everybody and they were wrong and he was right.
Whatever. The bottom line is that’s just about all he’s done to contain coronavirus, and it really wasn’t much. Until he was banned on Twitter, the greatest percentage of Trump’s time has included tweeting, golf and staging rallies. Vast amounts of time are spent crowing about how great he is and whining about how under-appreciated he is. Very little time is spent actually doing his job.
But let’s not forget, it isn’t just Lennon and McCartney writing the songs, George and Ringo write occasionally, too. Take the Worst Lady Melania Trump, for example. The ratio of things she achieves to the amount of whining and lounging about she does is tiny. It turns out that, while she is paying minimum Botox-bloated lip service to mourning the calamity and tragedy of the attempted coup last Wednesday, she’s wasting no time reminding us who the real victim is — her.
Melania claims that her “heart goes out” to those who were killed when demonstrators stormed the Capitol, but the “real” tragedy is all about her. “I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week,” she whined, “I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me – from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda.”
I hate to say it to her, but even if her husband wasn’t a murdering, conscience-free psychopath with delusions of grandeur, and even if she wasn’t a green card trophy wife, gold digging off of a man she loathes and never smiles in the presence of, drawing a little criticism goes with First Lady territory. If she can’t handle it maybe it’s time for her to leave. Come to think of it, that’s exactly what time it is. I, for one, really don’t care. Do you? And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
