No, Donald Trump isn’t “getting away” with anything

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

No, Trump isn’t “getting away with it all.” He lost. He’s 17 days from being out of power and eligible for arrest. New York already has a widely documented grand jury in the process of indicting him. He’ll eventually die alone and penniless in prison. He hasn’t “gotten away” with anything.

What’s surreal is how quickly his world is collapsing in on him. Before the election, Trump was able to hurt everybody. Since his loss, he’s been hobbled enough that he’s only been able to hurt the republicans out of spite. Now he’s so hobbled, he’s only able to hurt himself. So he’s hurting himself out of spite.

Trump is one of the most deranged people ever. With him, the derangement is the point. If he ends up having to cut off his nose to spite his face, then he’s perfectly fine with that. With no one else left to hurt, Trump seems intent on hurting himself. So be it. Soon he won’t be our problem anymore. The criminal justice system can deal with him accordingly.
