Jennifer Granholm joins President Biden’s cabinet
President-elect Joe Biden is picking former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm to run the Department of Energy, according to Politico. I can’t tell you how much I love this pick. Granholm helped save the auto industry, so she has inroad and influence with them. She’s also an environmentalist, so she’ll steer the nation toward renewable energy.
This comes after the news broke earlier today that Biden has picked Pete Buttigieg for Secretary of Transportation. After Biden’s first several cabinet picks were mostly behind the scenes people and not widely known names, Palmer Report predicted that the trend would end up changing, and now it that’s apparently starting to happen.
– Steve Schmidt, former Republican strategist and more recently an anti-Trump registered independent with the Lincoln Project, announced today that he’s registering as a Democrat. Good for him. I don’t agree with all of his views, but the Democrats need to be the big tent in order to remain in power.
