Trump stooge Marco Rubio crashes and burns

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Marco Rubio officially declared himself a candidate for the 2022 Senate race in Florida on Tuesday, running for a third term despite claiming to be a staunch supporter of term limits who would only serve two, and yet it wasn’t the most idiotic thing he did all day. While the Trump administration is facing newly deserved scorn (that it’s not even bothering to fight back) over their decision to not order more doses of the new Pfizer vaccine than they were offered, Rubio is so subservient to Donald Trump at this point that he feels the need to even defend this nonsense.

Although Pfizer cannot guarantee more supplies of the COVID vaccine earlier than June 2021, Rubio tweeted that the administration was justified in not ordering more of the supply than they did, in the event it doesn’t work. Not only has the vaccine showed an early success rate, with a lower risk of infection after just one dose, the Pfizer vaccine with its 90-95% effectiveness is the same one that Donald Trump is still trying to take credit for, despite the company doing their research without any assistance from the administration’s Operation Warpspeed program.

This would mean that either Donald Trump’s efforts did successfully produce a vaccine to end the pandemic or that he’s trying to claim credit for a vaccine that he’s not even sure will work – but for Trump and Rubio supporters, this isn’t really meant to be scrutinized carefully. Although Donald Trump will be gone in January, it’s important to remember everyone who supported his illegal, dangerous, and flat-out incompetent antics over the last four years, and Rubio just made it a little bit easier.
