The real reason Donald Trump just installed Corey Lewandowski at the Pentagon

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Yesterday the Department of Justice banned one of Donald Trump’s operatives from the building, after she was allegedly caught trying to acquire information about the 2020 election. Trump’s stunts just keep failing, but that never stops him, so now he’s installed his loyalists Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie on a Pentagon civilian review board. So what’s he up to?

The alarmists always assume this about Trump starting a war. But there is no evidence that would point to this; Lewandowski and Bossie are partisan political operatives who wouldn’t know the first thing about starting a war. Instead, this is almost surely about money. By installing his own loyalists, Trump can try to steer Pentagon contracts toward his allies around the world, who could then kick money back to him once he’s gone from office.

We warned you from the start that Donald Trump’s transition period antics would be entirely about the fact that he’s facing prison and bankruptcy. Sure enough, he’s begun pardoning his co-conspirators to try to keep them quiet, and now it appears he’s trying to figure out how to steer Pentagon money into his own pocket.
