It’s a holiday weekend, but that isn’t stopping President-elect Joe Biden from continuing to roll out his White House senior staff. This evening he announced his communications team, and they’re a bunch of all-stars.

Biden announced his deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield as White House Communications Director, Jen Psaki as White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre as White House Deputy Press Secretary, Pili Tobar as Deputy White House Communications Director, and Symone Sanders as Chief Spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris. Elaine Alexander and Ashley Etienne are also on the communications team.

You already know most of these names from the 2020 campaign trail, where they did a fantastic job of representing the Joe Biden campaign. This is an all-star team. It’s also notable that they’re all women, of various ethnicities. Biden is making good on his promise to make representation a real thing and not just an afterthought.
