Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx
It’s notable that President Biden has said multiple times that Dr. Fauci will play a key role in his coronavirus response, but he’s never once said anything about Dr. Birx. In other words, Biden seems to be reading things the same way the rest of us are.
Most people don’t know this because it’s rarely mentioned, but Birx’s official job title is “Global AIDS Coordinator” at the State Department, a position she’s held dating back to the Obama administration. Fauci’s official job title is “Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,” a position he’s held since 1984. It’s just that Trump put them in the national spotlight by putting them both on his coronavirus task force. We’ll see what President Biden does with his own coronavirus task force, but that’ll be a separate decision than whether to, say, fire Birx as Global AIDS Coordinator.
The key for now is that Biden has added Dr. Rick Bright to his transition team coronavirus task force. Bright is the vaccine expert who tried to sound the alarm over the Trump regime’s failing coronavirus response, causing him to be demoted. He then became a whistleblower. Now he works for Biden. That gives you an idea of where Biden is headed with his task force.
