Donald Trump swings and misses
Senator Lindsey Graham has been referred to the Senate Ethics Committee for election tampering, with more witnesses and details coming forward. Trump continues to lose at every turn, with Wayne County certifying the results after a brief but loud delay.
Now, it turns out, the laughable shitshow has become even worse. Rudy Giuliani was laughed out of court yesterday and today continues his affront to the legal profession. Maybe he was talented at one time, but it is all doubtful given how poorly he is performing. Trumping up an argument about ballots supposedly counted in violation of the Pennsylvania law, Giuliani and the team argued:
“Ultimately, Plaintiffs will seek the remedy of Trump being declared the winner of the legal votes cast in Pennsylvania in the 2020 General Election, and, thus, the recipient of Pennsylvania’s electors.”
Another specious claim, with Trump having lost the state by more than 82,000 votes. Keep in mind the Trump team is not seeking a recount or state legislative remedy in Pennsylvania, but a judicial power grab. It too will fail, as will the Wisconsin limited recount. We must keep in mind that this is a guy who was beat like a drum in the popular vote in 2016, but spent three years arguing that he had won because of mysterious illegal votes. Graham is out there committing crimes to try to turn the results, and failing. They are wasting money and trying to destroy democracy, but the clock is ticking and in less than nine weeks, Joe Biden is our president.
