Why Mitch McConnell is doing what he’s doing
– People keep asking why Mitch McConnell has given up on Judy Shelton’s nomination, and why he isn’t doing anything to save Trump. It’s simple: while McConnell often wins his battles, these aren’t the battles that he can win. Trump is done and no one can change that. Shelton simply didn’t have the votes, due to a quarantine. McConnell doesn’t have a magic wand. No one in politics, on either side, ever has a magic wand.
I often wonder how liberals have gotten into such a self defeating mindset of fretting, hand wringing, and lamenting, instead of fighting to win. Then I turn on MSNBC and realize liberals are being fed nothing but fretting, hand wringing, and lamenting all day long. Please, for your own sake, turn the TV off whenever it starts getting to you.
