U.S. Supreme Court refuses to take up Donald Trump’s election challenge

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

So much for the notion that the United States Supreme Court was somehow just going to magically hand the election to Donald Trump after he lost by millions of votes. Nothing works that way, even if some Justices might personally wish it did.

Sure enough, the Supreme Court refused to take up Trump’s legal challenge in Pennsylvania over absentee ballots, according to US News and World Report. This is a big deal. It’s not the end of the road, as Trump can keep asking the Supreme Court to take up the case from other angles in order to drag things out. But it makes clear that the Supreme Court simply has no interest in getting involved in any of this.

That’s not at all surprising. Trump and his legal team have now been laughed out of court twenty times in recent days. When you go into court with literally no case, you’re simply not going to get anywhere.

This is the latest reminder that Donald Trump isn’t actually trying to mount a serious legal challenge to the blowout election results, and he doesn’t actually think he can overturn anything. He’s just trying to drag this out so he can keep fundraising from his gullible supporters. This is beyond pathetic.
