Just ignore the bloviating baby
Since the election, almost every tweet from Donald J. Trump has been labeled as factually challenged by Twitter, with warning labels like “This claim about election fraud is disputed.” On January 21, Trump will face additional sanctions and issues as a private citizen, including but not limited to the banning of his account. The latest incomprehensible, nonsensical tweet from him addressed election integrity issues:
“For years the Dems have been preaching how unsafe and rigged our elections have been. Now they are saying what a wonderful job the Trump Administration did in making 2020 the most secure election ever. Actually this is true, except for what the Democrats did. Rigged Election!”
The first sentence of course misstates reality, with the biggest saboteur in the last two elections being Trump. DHS announced last night that this was the “most secure election ever.” But part of the reason for that is more than 100 million people voted early and the vast majority of those were mail-in ballots or absentee ballots. They cannot be hacked, and Trump and his team know that.
But as only Trump can do, he takes credit for the “most secure election ever” but then claims that the election was “Rigged.” No, it was not rigged. More than 78 million people (and counting) voted for Joe Biden, the most in history – and in key states, the margins were decisive. Trump has lost and that is the reality. Ignore the bloviating baby orange and move on to the January 5th Senate runoffs in Georgia, and then to inauguration on January 20th.
