This is why we lose
Here’s why we lose some of the elections we should be winning. We’ve sitting around lamenting that the Republicans elected a Q-anon loon to the House of Representatives, instead of seeing it as a gift. We can make her a lightning rod, and force every House Republican to come out for or against her – costing them votes either way – and harming all of their prospects in 2022. Instead we just lament.
The be clear, the politicians in the Democratic Party have a pretty decent understanding of how this kind of thing works. They’ll use the Q-anon Congresswoman’s lunatic antics as a campaigning and fundraising tool. But they’ll have a hard time pulling it off, because instead of us getting behind them on it, we just lament and fret about how embarrassing it is that there’s a Q-anon in Congress.
It’s time for us to change our mindset, and start focusing on strategy instead of hand wringing. We just took down Trump. We can start taking down the rest of these Republicans in 2022 as well.
