Mike Pence just checked out
Now that Donald Trump has lost, we’re seeing a number of his allies mentally checking out. Fox News is now cutting off Kayleigh McEnany’s press conferences. Bill Barr checked out completely, until Trump started firing people, prompting Barr to announce another one of his imaginary “probes” that won’t go anywhere, just to try to convince Trump to fire him next. Now it turns out Mike Pence is checking out physically.
NBC News is reporting that Mike Pence just went on vacation. No really, vacation. To be fair, this vacation was already scheduled before the election. But if the Trump-Pence regime really thought there was any chance whatsoever that they could magically overturn the election result, Mike Pence wouldn’t be going to Disney World right now.
This is the latest reminder that, in spite of whatever noises and protestations and whining you might be hearing, the Trump regime is over – and everyone involved with the Trump regime knows it. Pence is already at the point where he’s not even willing to cancel his vacation just to keep up the appearance that they’re still somehow in the game.
