Donald Trump just got slapped down by Twitter
– Trump tweeted “I won!” today and Twitter slapped a warning label on it with a link confirming that Joe Biden won. So that’s how Trump’s day is going.
– Trump is using the imaginary promise of overturning the election to fundraise money. McConnell is using the imaginary threat of overturning the election to distract you from focusing on the Senate runoff races. It’s really important that you understand that Trump somehow magically overturning the election result isn’t a real threat, it’s just a sideshow to try to distract you from what these two guys are really up to.
– Tweet of the day today from the Washington Bureau Chief of the Dallas Morning News, Todd J. Gillman, further confirming what Trump is really trying to accomplish by griping about the election results: “Trump campaign sent 23 emails today seeking donations, w/messages like ‘mysterious ballots’ and ‘STOP COUNTING ILLEGAL BALLOTS.’ The fine print says 60% of donations go to ‘retirement of general election debt.’ Which suggests debt and no incentive to concede until it’s retired.”
