James Carville may be onto something
Yesterday, longtime Democratic strategist James Carville made the bold prediction that Joe Biden will win by such a large margin, the results will be known by 10pm on election night. The thing about Carville is that he’s usually correct about these things.
Now that we’ve had a full day’s worth of news, Carville hasn’t seen any evidence to dissuade him: “Very optimistic about tonight. I don’t see anything yet today that gives me pause in my prediction that we’re going to have a big night. Keep voting. Keep turning out.”
We’re not placing any bets on precisely when we’ll see the winner declared, or whether it’ll be tonight. But all the anecdotal news we’ve seen thus far today seems to be in Joe Biden’s favor, which means Carville may be onto something.
