Things are looking good so far

Right now we’re in an information vacuum, as we wait for the first vote tallies to come in, and we’re forced to rely on anecdotal evidence to try to figure out which way things might be leaning. While anecdotal evidence always comes with caveats, thus far it’s looking good for Joe Biden.

Multiple major news outlets are reporting that turnout in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is through the roof. Just as importantly, turnout is also through the roof in suburban Montgomery County, another Democratic stronghold.

Meanwhile we’ve got a surreal report from MSNBC that the Trump campaign is seeing some of its would-be voters giving up and going home instead of standing in line, even as the Trump campaign has struck a pessimistic tone today and seemingly tried to lower expectations about the results across the board.

We still don’t know much, but what we do know thus far is looking good. But we still need to run up the score just to be safe. If you haven’t voted yet, go get in line. If you’re currently in line, stay there; they have to let you vote if you’re already in line by the time the polls close.
