Donald Trump has bizarre meltdown about his own “fake” NBC town hall
Donald Trump’s NBC town hall tonight is one of the low points in the history of broadcast journalism. After the second presidential debate was canceled because a sick and contagious Trump refused to do it remotely, Joe Biden set up a town hall with ABC. Now NBC is shamefully rewarding Trump for his antics by also giving him a town hall, on the same night as Biden’s town hall, forcing voters to choose which one to watch.
NBC will pay a heavy price for this villainy, in terms of the resentment and advertiser boycotts that are already brewing. But even as NBC is bending over backward to throw a dying Donald Trump a life raft, Trump is repaying NBC by attacking the network. Trump tweeted this:
I will be doing a major Fake @NBCNews Town Hall Forum, live tonight from Miami, at 8:00 P.M. They asked me to do it in place of the Rigged Steve Scully (he is now suspended from @cspan for lying) Debate. I wonder if they’ll treat me as well as Sleepy Joe? They should!
So now Donald Trump is either calling NBC News “fake” or he’s calling his own town hall “fake.” Trump knows that he’s likely finished in this election unless he can find a way to completely shake up the landscape – and this tweet suggests that Trump is planning to behave like a complete lunatic tonight.
