NBC Meet The Press host Chuck Todd has announced that Hugh Hewitt, a deranged and extremist Trump apologist with extraordinarily offensive views, will be one of his guests this Sunday. It’s prompted a new round of widespread calls for Todd’s firing on Twitter.
It’s also raised questions about why Chuck Todd still has a weekday gig on MSNBC. He was recently demoted from the 5pm time slot to the less desirable 1pm time slot, but MSNBC’s audience keeps making clear that it doesn’t want his “both sides” nonsense on the air.
Here’s how to fix MSNBC: 1) Fire Chuck Todd. 2) End the “both sides” narratives that seek to paint a false picture of both parties being the same. 3) More diversity among hosts. 4) Stop quoting individual polls out of context of the polling averages. 5) Stop booking lying Trump surrogates, or any guest who is going to simply lie the entire time. 6) Seriously, fire Chuck Todd.
