Rep. Jamie Raskin speaks out against Donald Trump at March For Truth in Washington DC
The March For Truth took place in more than one hundred and forty cities across the nation today, as Americans stood up and demanded answers in Donald Trump’s Russia scandal. One of those protests was in Washington DC, against the backdrop of the iconic Washington Monument. Congressman Jamie Raskin from nearby Maryland was one of the speakers who addressed attendees.
Rep. Raskin gave an impassioned speech in which he laid out why the Donald Trump campaign’s involvement with Russia is so suspicious, and why it’s so important that the investigation be handled properly. Raskin acknowledged that this isn’t the first such protest event he’s attended, and quipped “We’ve got to stop meeting like this” before correcting himself and saying that “We can’t stop meeting like this” until justice is served.

This is far from the first time in which Jamie Raskin has actively taken on Donald Trump. During the brief implementation of Donald Trump’s first Muslim Ban, Raskin – a longtime law professor – was seen at Dulles Airport in Washington DC attempting to secure the release of those who had been illegally detained (link).
