The circumstances of Kayleigh McEnany’s coronavirus just got even more suspicious
When Kayleigh McEnany announced that she tested positive for coronavirus today, she insisted that at the time she did her Thursday press briefing, she wasn’t aware that Hope Hicks had tested positive the day before. We found this highly suspect; how could the White House Press Secretary of all people not know about Hicks?
Now Kaitlan Collins of CNN is tweeting this: “After Hope Hicks tested positive, Kayleigh McEnany was pulled off President Trump’s trip to New Jersey and later informed she’d had direct contact with Hicks.” Wait a minute here. Does this mean that Donald Trump and his people failed to immediately inform McEnany that she’d been exposed? If so, they misled her and potentially put her in danger, as she should have been not only quarantining, but monitoring her oxygen levels.
And of course if this is all a lie and Kayleigh McEnany did know she’d been exposed to coronavirus when she did a maskless press briefing on Thursday, then she’s the one who intentionally put others in danger. Someone misled someone here, and the consequences are ugly. Now ABC News says two of McEnany’s assistants have also tested positive, raising questions about how deep this rabbit hole goes.
