Video footage of Brad Parscale’s arrest

Yesterday Donald Trump’s recently demoted 2020 campaign manager was taken into police custody and hospitalized after he barricaded himself in his home, and threatened to commit suicide. Now the Fort Lauderdale police are releasing footage of Parscale’s arrest, which includes some serious tackling:

There will be some debate as to whether the police tackle was necessary in order to take him into custody. But it’s worth keeping in mind that Parscale had just left the house after having barricaded himself with a cache of weapons, and after having allegedly threatened to harm himself, after having beaten up his wife a few days earlier. It’s also worth pointing out that if Parscale were Black, he might be dead right now.
