Donald Trump has complete meltdown about Joe Biden, gives something away
With just forty-eight hours to go before the first presidential debate, Donald Trump is now making an utterly bizarre demand of his opponent, frontrunner Joe Biden. In so doing, Trump appears to be giving something away. Trump posted this whacked out tweet today:
“I will be strongly demanding a Drug Test of Sleepy Joe Biden prior to, or after, the Debate on Tuesday night. Naturally, I will agree to take one also. His Debate performances have been record setting UNEVEN, to put it mildly. Only drugs could have caused this discrepancy???”
To be clear, there won’t be any drug testing. Biden isn’t going to go along with such an absurd farce, and Trump is making the demand far too late for it to be implemented anyway. So what’s really going on here? Based on Trump’s increasingly erratic behavior in recent public appearances, and his overall debate history, there’s little doubt that he uses some form of “uppers” to get through these performances. Trump is planning to get high during Tuesday’s debate, and he’s expecting to get called out for it by the public, so he’s trying to deflect by randomly accusing Biden of being on drugs.
But there’s more to it. Donald Trump is also giving away that he – or more likely his handlers who posted this tweet – expect Joe Biden to win the debate. They’re trying to lower expectations for Trump already. It’s also a sign that Trump knows it’s a bad idea to show up to this debate as his physical and cognitive health continue to slip away. But he’ll likely show up nonetheless, because his narcissism won’t allow him to turn away from the spotlight.
