RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel just gave away how much trouble Donald Trump is in

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With his scandals growing worse and his apologists growing somewhat sparse, Donald Trump is stuck relying on people like Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel to defend him. The trouble: not only is she ineffective at it, she unwittingly gave way just how much trouble Trump is in.

Ronna McDaniel tweeted this today: “Joe Biden can’t run from his disastrous record responding to the coronavirus. The truth hurts, Joe!” Wait a minute here. What kind of “record” is Joe Biden supposed to have in “responding” to the coronavirus? He’s not the President. He hasn’t held any office in years. How exactly was Biden supposed to run the government’s coronavirus response while Trump has been in charge of the government?

Therein lies the problem. Donald Trump’s presidency has been so disastrous, his only hope of winning is centered around convincing a majority of voters that Joe Biden has actually been the president these past four years. No one outside Trump’s too-small base will fall for this deranged lunacy. The voters in the middle might not be the quickest on the uptake, but they know full well which of these two men is the current President of the United States.
