Of course he did

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

The problem with Donald Trump isn’t just that he’s been accused of multiple wrongdoings, indiscretions, illegalities, sexual assaults, treacheries, traitorous acts and moral outrages, the problem is it’s all so credible. You listen to Donald Trump speak for five minutes, you read his tweets, you watch how he deals with people, particularly women and people of color, and, unless there’s something deeply wrong or broken with you, you know he’s not normal. You don’t have to listen to him for very long before you know in fact he’s evil.

The problem with Trump is you don’t have to dig very deep. His evil is right out in front, on the surface. When it comes to the evil of Donald Trump there is an embarrassment of riches. You get in the habit of believing bad things that are said about him, even if there’s no direct evidence for them, because, time after time after time, sooner or later, the supporting evidence comes along and confirms what has been said about him all along.

So when Michael Cohen said in his new book, “Disloyal: A Memoir: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump,” that Trump once ogled Cohen’s 15-year-old daughter and said, “When did she get so hot?” you believe it right away. Put another way, if Trump didn’t say that he almost certainly thought it, because you know already he’s one of the worst human beings on earth. It’s how he is. But you also know he said it anyway, because we’ve already heard Trump say similarly disgusting things over and over and over.

For example, we know for a fact that Trump raped E. Jean Carroll. How do we know this? Because Ms. Carroll said so. It’s almost incidental that Carroll is still in possession of the black wool coat-style dress she was wearing the day Trump raped her, that it hasn’t been washed or worn since that day and has DNA on it from an unidentified male. It doesn’t matter that Trump has hired a team of lawyers to keep his personal DNA from being tested in court against the DNA on the coat. It doesn’t matter that if Trump were truly innocent he would loudly, pompously, jeeringly and boldly volunteer his DNA, then crow incessantly about how it not only proves he’s innocent but also proves that “nobody has ever done more for women than Donald Trump.” None of that matters. Donald Trump has already shown us who he is. When the hell are we going to start believing him?

So, when Michael Cohen says in his new book that the married family man Trump, the guy supported by the “family values” evangelicals, once leered at contestants at a Miss Universe pageant, and said out loud that he could “have all of them,” why would we doubt that for one minute? No one but the very stupid would.

By the way, we are way, way beyond the point where some terrible injustice is committed if Trump should accidentally one day be accused of something morally repulsive that he didn’t actually do. I’m sure it’s possible, for example, that of the dozens of women Ted Bundy has been accused of murdering, it may turn out that he was innocent of at least one of them. Our hearts won’t exactly bleed for the besmirched reputation of Mr. Bundy, nor should they. Bundy was scum, and so is our own Donald Trump, our own King Leer.

So when Trump was accused of calling the men and women of America’s military “losers” and “suckers,” we know that’s true too. And when Melania tweeted that the original Atlantic story that broke the news of Trump’s disgusting opinions was a bunch of lies, here’s what the aforementioned E. Jean Carroll tweeted back: “Madam, The Atlantic Magazine story IS true. Your husband lies to you about the women he boffs. He lies about his grades, his height, his golf scores, his income, and how great he is in bed. But you know THAT.”

Let’s also never forget that millions of people in America voted for Donald Trump even after he was caught on tape saying this: “I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything, Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Donald Trump has told us for decades who he is. It’s time, America, to start believing him, and vote for Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. and Kamala Devi Harris on November third. There are a million reasons why Donald Trump is unfit to be president of the United States, this has been another one. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
