Nancy Pelosi goes for the jugular after Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy caves
When Speaker Nancy Pelosi succeeded in pressuring Donald Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to publicly testify about his Post Office sabotage scheme, it meant Pelosi and the Resistance had won the battle – because it meant DeJoy was going to have to keep caving. Sure enough, DeJoy caved big-time today, agreeing to cease making any more changes to the Post Office before the election.
Of course this is the part where you really pounce. With DeJoy now caving on everything in the hope of saving his own neck, he’ll also end up having to correct all the Post Office changes he’s made up to this point. Nancy Pelosi is making it clear that she’s not letting him off the hook.
Pelosi tweeted this in response to the DeJoy news: “Nice try, Postmaster General DeJoy, but the House will still be passing our bill to ensure the delivery of the mail through the election. We will deliver for America by voting on Saturday.”
It’s clear that Pelosi is going for the jugular. She’s won the battle against DeJoy, she’s got him on the run, and now she’s going to keep hammering him until he caves on everything – or until he resigns and allows the Post Office to fall back into the hands of career Post Office officials.
